Android 15 is going to be an exciting upgrade, as it’ll bring a host of new features and enhancements, such as private space, app pairs, and theft detection lock, to name a few.
The new OS was earlier expected to be released in October, but Google seems to be in a hurry this time.
Last year, Google announced the stable version of Android 14 at the Made by Google event on October 4. The Pixel 8 series was also announced at the event, the first phones to ship with the new OS.
This year’s Made by Google event is scheduled for August 13th, when the Pixel 9 Pro will be released, among other Google products. According to past leaks, the Pixel 9 series will launch with Android 15 out of the box. This means the new OS is likely to be released at the Made by Google event, similar to the last year.

Android 15 Progress So Far
Google allowed access to Android 15 through the developer preview channels in February, followed by developer preview 2 in March.
In April, the Beta 1 was released, which allowed anyone with eligible Pixel devices test the new OS. Then we had multiple beta updates, adding new features and resolving known bugs.
On June 18, the Beta 3 had been released, marking the beginning of the platform stability phase. And then we had Beta 3.1 on July 1st.
The platform stability phase is the final phase of development where Google resolves known issues and adds final touches to prepare for the stable release.
