One UI 6.1.1 Update for Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5 Lands In More Countries

Last week, Samsung released the One UI 6.1.1 update to a dozen Galaxy devices, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 were among them. However, it was only live for users in Korea. Thankfully, Samsung didn’t take long to bring the update to more countries.

The One UI 6.1.1 update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 users in India, Europe, and Malaysia. For the Galaxy Z Flip 5, it has been spotted in India and Europe. The update could also be rolling out to other parts of Asia.

One UI 6.1.1 is a bulky update with a download size of over 2GB. So, ensure that you have sufficient data balance and a stable connection for a smoother installation. The update doesn’t include the September 2024 security patch, though. So, maybe another update will be released soon to install it.

If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Galaxy Z Flip 5 and belong to any of the regions mentioned above, check if an update is available. To do so, go to Settings > Software updates and hit the Download and install button.

The One UI 6.1.1 brings all the goodies from Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 to older foldables. New AI features include Sketch to Image, Composer, Portrait Studio, Sound search, a Listening mode for Interpreter, and voice translation during calls in third-party apps.
