After a long wait, Samsung has finally shed some light on the upcoming features in One UI 7. The company’s Spanish website revealed details about the upcoming One UI version. It was accidental, as the details are now taken down, but thanks to an X user @Chunvn8888 for being too quick to capture them.

The official website says, “AI powers every step” in One UI 7, delivering a “sophisticated new look.” Previously, it was rumored that AI won’t play a significant role in One UI 7, but the official website says otherwise.
One UI 7 key features
The One UI 7 update brings new icons, a revamped notification center, and a new lock screen that offers a quick view of ongoing activities, as shown in the official video below.
Sketch to Image
The Sketch to Image feature, introduced with One UI 6.1.1, is getting upgraded in One UI 7 with new options such as 3D Cartoon, Sketch, and Watercolor.
Samsung has also revealed that Sketch to Image requires an internet connection and a Samsung account. Edited images will be resized to 12MP, and they will have an AI watermark.
Portrait Studio
One UI 7 has a new Portrait Studio that allows users to transform regular portrait shots into artistic profile pictures with themes like 3D Cartoon, Comic, and Sketch.
This feature also requires an internet connection and a Samsung account. The edited portraits are resized to 9MP with a watermark indication AI-generated.
Live Effects
One UI 7 also has a Live Effects feature that allows users to add depth to their photos, making them more visually striking.
Child Safety
The latest One UI version also introduced some child safety features, likely within the Galaxy Store. According to the official image, children’s accounts will require permission from guardian accounts to purchase apps.
Other changes
The One UI 7 page on Samsung’s Spain website also talks about Circle to Search, Live Translate, and AI Zoom. However, as you may already know, these features are already part of One UI 6.1.1. So, they might be getting some improvements, which are not revealed yet. The website also highlights the Energy Score feature, introduced with One UI 6 Watch on Wear OS 5 for Galaxy smartwatches.
The fine print on the website states that Galaxy AI features will be available for free on compatible devices until the end of 2025. These features are expected to roll out in Q4 2024 on these devices:
