One UI 7 is almost ready for the beta release

Samsung was initially expected to release the One UI 7.0 beta in July, but then it reportedly got delayed indefinitely because of critical bugs. Now, it appears that the South Korean giant has resolved all those bugs and is preparing to announce the One UI 7 beta program very soon.

Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), a reliable Samsung tipster, recently revealed that the One UI 7.0 beta will take another half a month to be released without specifying a specific date. Another tipster (@SamsonSirJi) claims that the One UI 7.0 build finalized on October 31 still has some issues related to battery optimization and app compatibility, but it’s stable enough for beta testing. He claims to have received this information from a Samsung One UI developer.

The tipster further reveals that the One UI 7 has smooth animations, rivaling iOS and other popular Android skins. It gets even better on the Galaxy S24 Ultra because of excellent hardware capabilities. Because of superior chip and hardware, Galaxy S24 Ultra’s performance greatly differs from older Galaxy devices.

We recently got a sneak peek at the notable changes in One UI 7 through multiple leaked videos, but according to Ice Universe, the latest version of One UI 7 containing the build version XJW makes those leaks meaningless because Samsung has made a lot of changes. He even says, “previous versions can be thrown into the trash,” hinting at big changes in the latest build.

So far, Samsung has only confirmed that One UI 7 beta is coming before the end of 2024, while the stable build will be released with the Galaxy S25 series, which is coming next year. However, if recent leaks are anything to go by, Samsung might announce the One UI 7 beta program by next week. If not, it should be released at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 event happening on November 21.

One UI 7 beta will be the company’s most delayed beta announcement for its One UI software, but since it’s coming with big changes and fewer bugs, most people wouldn’t mind waiting a little more.
