Bad News! One UI 7 update for Galaxy S24 is still months away

Galaxy S24 users have long been waiting for the stable upgrade to One UI 7.0. The update was expected to drop this month, but now it seems the wait is not coming to an end anytime soon. If you’re in the queue, you may have to wait a few more months to get the stable One UI 7.0 update.

Earlier this week, Samsung revealed its plans to release the fourth One UI 7.0 beta update to Galaxy S24 series. The beta will be distributed over the next week. This was expected to be the last beta update, but no, there are a few more in the pipeline, as per some reliable Samsung tipster.

Tipster Tarun Vats (@tarunvats33) has revealed that the Galaxy S24 series will receive a total of six One UI 7.0 beta updates. Three have already been rolled out, and the fourth one will go live this month. The fifth beta update might land in March and the sixth in April.

  • Galaxy S24 series (One UI 7.0 — Beta 1): Released
  • Galaxy S24 series (One UI 7.0 — Beta 2): Released
  • Galaxy S24 series (One UI 7.0 — Beta 3): Released
  • Galaxy S24 series (One UI 7.0 — Beta 4): February 2025
  • Galaxy S24 series (One UI 7.0 — Beta 5): March 2025
  • Galaxy S24 series (One UI 7.0 — Beta 6): April 2025

Profound tipster, Ice Universe, says these details are true, which adds more weight to the leak.

The Galaxy S24 series will be the first to receive a stable One UI 7.0 update. If that itself will get the update sometime around April, users carrying mid-range and cheaper Galaxy devices have a long way to go.

While Samsung hasn’t begun the stable rollout of One UI 7.0 (based on Android 15), Google is already halfway through the Android 16 development. The stable version is expected to be announced around May. I’m afraid whether Samsung will be able to complete its One UI 7.0 rollout before the stable Android 16 is out.
