Here’s when One UI 7 update is coming to Galaxy S series

Samsung One UI 7 release

Samsung finally broke its silence on the One UI 7 rollout for the older Galaxy S series phones. It has just confirmed that all eligible Galaxy S series models will get the highly-anticipated One UI 7 update by the end of Q1 2025.

The Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is scheduled for tomorrow. Even though we already know many details, it’s going to be one of the most exciting Samsung events in recent years. The Galaxy S25 series will launch at the event featuring One UI 7, which brings a host of exciting features and improvements on top of what’s already there in Android 15.

Galaxy Devices that will get One UI 7 update

Samsung kicked off the One UI 7 beta testing for the Galaxy S24 series in early December. In a press release on its South Korean website, Samsung mentioned that the first beta update closed more than twice as fast as One UI 6.

The press release mentions that all compatible Galaxy S series devices will get the One UI 7 update in the first quarter, which means before March 31, 2025. I was surprised to see Samsung hasn’t mentioned the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. That doesn’t mean they are not getting the One UI 7 update. They will, for sure, but when? We don’t know. We’ll have more clarity on this tomorrow when Samsung publishes a detailed One UI 7 rollout plan.
