Poco F6 performance
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip rocks the Poco F6, which is not found on any other device under Rs. 30,000. This is one of the biggest advantages of this Poco phone.

The closest competitor of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which powers the OnePlus Nord 4 (available for Rs. 29,998). The 7+ Gen 3 chip has similar battery efficiency but can’t match the CPU and GPU performance offered by the 8s Gen 3.
Let’s look at the benchmark results:
AnTuTu 10 scores
AnTuTu V10 | Result |
---|---|
Poco F6 | 14,04,594 |
OnePlus Nord 4 | 10,69,440 |
Realme GT 2 Pro | 9,02,334 |
Motorola Edge 50 Pro | 8,25,296 |
Poco X6 Pro | 11,54,231 |
Geekbench 6 scores
Geekbench 6 | Result (single/multi core) |
---|---|
Poco F6 | 1,894/4,922 |
OnePlus Nord 4 | 1,672/4,418 |
Realme GT 2 Pro | 942/3,024 |
Motorola Edge 50 Pro | 1,092/3,129 |
Poco X6 Pro | 1,249/4,202 |
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered Poco F6 handsomely beats other popular gaming phones under Rs. 30,000 on the benchmarks.
In addition to an excellent chip, several other factors, such as RAM and storage speed, cooling technology, and software optimizations, contribute to outstanding performance.
On Poco F6, you get LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage — the fastest on smartphones. It has a 4,800 sq. mm. cooling pump to prevent overheating.
So, performance-wise, the Poco F6 is currently the best device under 30K. But that doesn’t make it good for gaming.
You also need a high-quality display, a decent battery capacity with high-speed charging, and solid connectivity features for reliable gaming with low latency.
Poco F6 display
The smartphone has a 6.67-inch large AMOLED screen with a 1.5K (2712 x 1220 pixels) resolution. It has a 480Hz touch sampling rate, which is good for a gaming phone. The device also supports a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth experience and a peak brightness of 2400 nits for better visibility outdoors.

Poco F6 supports 68 billion colors, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. It also has Gorilla Glass Victus protection for better protection. The IP64 rating protects it against water splashes and dust.
In short, the Poco F6 has an excellent display to show your gaming skills.
Poco F6 battery and charging
The Poco F6 has a 5,000mAh battery, which is what you get on most devices, even flagships. And the 90W charger, which comes inside the box, can quickly refill it in just 35 minutes, according to the brand.
The OnePlus Nord 4 has a slightly larger battery and faster charging support. However, the Poco F6 isn’t disappointing at all, considering the overall value it offers.
Poco F6 connectivity
On the connectivity part, Poco F6 does an excellent job. It supports Wi-Fi 6, which is what you get on most mid-range phones.
A few mid-range phones are currently available with Bluetooth 5.4 standard. The Poco F6 is one of them. It has a USB Type-C 2.0 port for fast data transfer over a USB cable.
Poco F6 cameras
The smartphone has a decent camera setup. On the rear side, you get a 50MP OIS-enabled primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The rear camera setup can record up to 4K videos, whereas the 20MP selfie camera can only take 1080p videos.

The camera performance is decent, which shouldn’t be a big concern if gaming is your top priority.
Poco F6 for gaming under 30K: our verdict
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, paired with fast RAM and storage and a good cooling system, offers excellent gaming performance on the Poco F6. Its AMOLED panel with a high refresh rate and touch sampling rate provides great visuals.
The battery capacity and charging speed are also good. And the device has excellent connectivity features.
In our opinion, the Poco F6 is still the best gaming phone you can get under Rs. 30,000.
