Samsung February 2025 security patch detailed

Samsung is moving fast with its preparations for the February 2025 security patch, even though many Galaxy devices have yet to receive their first security update of the year. The company has revealed the details of this latest security patch, which brings crucial fixes from both Google and Samsung to enhance the security and stability of Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.

The February 2025 security patch addresses 1 critical and 34 high-risk vulnerabilities in the Android operating system, as per Google’s security bulletin. While some of these vulnerabilities pose a threat to all Android devices, Samsung has identified 7 security flaws specific to Galaxy devices, providing targeted fixes for improved user security.

Notably, several vulnerabilities that affected Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered devices running Android 12 to 14 have been patched. Additionally, one exploit that could compromise Samsung Galaxy smartwatches running Wear OS and One UI Watch has also been fixed.

Samsung has not yet started releasing the February 2025 security update for any Galaxy device. However, this situation is expected to change soon, with the rollout anticipated in the coming days.
