[Update: still ongoing] Samsung may have ended One UI 7 beta program

[Update: A Samsung Community moderator has confirmed the One UI 7 beta program is still ongoing. There was a temporary server issue on the Samsung Members app yesterday, which caused the beta community icon to disappear.]

Original story as follows:

Samsung may have put an end to the One UI 7 beta program as it is gearing up for the stable release. This also means it won’t expand beyond the Galaxy S24 series, which is exactly what past reports were hinting at.

The One UI 7 beta kicked off early December for the Galaxy S24 series. The brand has released three beta updates so far. The last one arrived last week, carrying the build version ‘ZXLJ’. Since then, no beta builds have been spotted on the server. Instead, a new ‘YA2’ firmware has been spotted, which seems to be the final/stable build for the Galaxy S24 and S25 series.

What’s more, Samsung is now showing a “Thank you for participating.” message to the One UI 7 beta testers. This means there won’t be future One UI 7 beta updates. A tipster @FamilyTaes also recently confirmed that “there won’t be any more beta builds now.”

The third beta build still has many bugs. Hence, we were expecting another beta update before the stable rollout. But now, it seems Samsung will ship those fixes in the stable release.

One UI 7 is set to release on January 22nd, alongside the Galaxy S25 series. It’s one of the biggest upgrades in recent years, and that’s why the development took longer than expected. A host of exciting features and upgrades are on the way. According to a recent leak, the stable rollout will begin early next month.

Samsung may also have started working on One UI 8. The leak also reveals that One UI 7.1 may not exist and other important details. Read them here.
