2024 has been an unusual year for Samsung regarding software updates. Once known for being the first to roll out updates, Samsung has delayed the matter this time so much so that it lost to OnePlus, Motorola, and Oppo to the Android 15 beta release. To make matters worse, the stable update won’t arrive this year, leaving Galaxy users disappointed. Adding to the frustration, Samsung might have even more bad news that could dampen your holiday spirit.

According to a X leaker FamilyTaes, who previously leaked the One UI 7 beta roadmap, the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta will be limited to the Galaxy S24 series. He claims that the One UI 7 beta program will not go live for the Galaxy S23 series, S22 series, and S21 series. Galaxy A-series models are also not going to be a part of the beta program, as per the leak.

While this leak might not sound well to Galaxy owners waiting to get an early taste of One UI 7, it hints that One UI 7 may have reached a certain level of stability that Samsung is confident to distribute among Galaxy devices without a public beta testing. It also means the stable rollout might not take as long as last year.
As per the leak, Samsung will reveal the One UI 7 stable rollout plan at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, while the stable rollout will kick off early February. As for the Galaxy S24 series, it might receive the third One UI 7 beta before 6th January, followed by two or three betas before the stable build rolls out.
It’s important to note that more reliable Samsung tipster are yet to corroborate this rumor. And the fact that internal One UI 7 test builds have been spotted for older Galaxy flagships suggests that the One UI 7 beta program could still expand to other models.
