Good Lock, a customization suite offered by Samsung, is getting one of the significant changes in recent years. I’ll get to them in a minute, but here’s another big news: Good Lock will be available to download for all users via the Google Play Store. Previously accessible in select regions through the Galaxy Store, the latest move expands One UI’s customization greatness to a broader audience.

Good Lock upgrades in One UI 7
The Home Up module in One UI 7 lets you set up Home Up functions directly within One UI Home without needing to open this module inside the Good Lock app. The grid restriction also disappears, meaning you can freely place items on the home screen. The module also gets stickers support for better home screen decoration.
The updated Good Lock lets you fine-tune home gesture animations to your preference. Additionally, It also adds support for multi-finger gestures anywhere on the screen and enables you to hide favorites to make the home screen more spacious. The Edge panel gets new customizations to make it more convenient to use. The Taskbar customizations (on tablets and foldables) also get various editing functions.
One UI 7 makes Game Booster+ a part of Good Lock. More importantly, games that weren’t previously classified as games can now be manually categorized as games that will provide them with gaming-related enhancements offered by One UI. Users can remap keys on game pads and tweak GPU settings. The LockStar module is seamlessly integrated within the lock screen editing interface, allowing users to make edits directly from the lock screen.
Wonderland in One UI 7 lets you set different wallpapers to home screen and lock screen. It automatically adjusts the color of app icons, titles, and status bar for better visibility. The MultiStar module is updated to offer cover launch functionalities directly from the Labs menu for the Galaxy Z Flip users. The Theme Park module now lets you customize folder icons and app icons while applying an icon pack. Besides preset shapes, you can choose images as app icon designs. Samsung now offers a diverse set of stickers and wallpapers for creative decoration with Good Lock.
Samsung S Pen users can use Pentastic to change the Air Command icons to any desired images. The QuickStar module also gets updated to allow users to hide the dual-SIM user icons visible on the lock screen. Camera Assistant automatically saves videos to external storage connected via a USB-C port.
One UI 7 brings a ‘Routine Gallery’ feature to Routine+, allowing you to share your favorite routines with others or use routines created by other Galaxy users. This feature works via the Galaxy to Share module, so its accessibility is restricted to regions where this module is available.
Besides updates for separate modules, Samsung also updates the Good Lock itself to add a new search and filter function to help users quickly find the desired modules. Samsung is also working on improving the Good Lock interface for UI convenience.
When will you get these updated Good Lock modules?
Samsung has already added 15 Good Lock apps to the One UI 7.0 beta software. The remaining seven — LockStar, Home Up, NavStar, QuickStar, NotiStar, MultiStar, and ClockFace — will receive One UI 7 support in the coming weeks.
Samsung says Home Up and LockStar modules may be slightly delayed as they are still undergoing internal testing. However, the concerned team is doing its best to make them available with the stable One UI 7.0 release.
