Samsung has just launched an entry-level Galaxy A06 5G smartphone, and it comes with One UI 7 — the software that’s not even available to Galaxy S24 and many other Galaxy flagships. Before this, it was only available to the premium Galaxy S25 series.

With an INR 10,500 ($120) price tag, it’s now the cheapest 5G smartphone in the Galaxy A-series. The sweet price tag also brings One UI 7 software (based on Android 15) and an excellent software update policy — four OS upgrades and four years of security patches.
While it comes with One UI 7, the software experience isn’t going to be similar to that of the Galaxy S25 and other flagship devices. High-end devices benefit from powerful hardware, which brings extra smoothness. The Galaxy A06 5G is likely to miss some AI features from the Galaxy S25 series that require extensive on-device processing. One of those could be Now Brief.

Samsung fans were also questioning if the brand woould bring the visually appealing Now Bar to cheaper models. The Galaxy A06 5G has it, and should comes to older Galaxy devices (cheaper ones included) with the One UI 7 update.
The Galaxy A06 5G brings a 6.7″ PLS LCD screen with 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support. There are two cameras on the back — a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is an 8MP module.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 powers the Galaxy smartphone. The battery comes in at 5,000mAh with 25W wired charging over a USB-C cable.
Here’s Galaxy A06 5G pricing:

- 4GB + 128GB: INR 11,500 ($130)
